Larissa Linhares is an intuitive artist whose work flows from a deep connection with God, nature, and the world around her. Rather than following a fixed path, she creates from intuition, allowing emotions, memories, spirituality, and energy to guide the process. Larissa began painting at around the age of six, growing up in the Amazon region of Brazil — an experience that deeply shaped both her artwork and her soul. Surrounded by nature, colors, plants, open skies, and handmade traditions, she felt from an early age that she saw the world through a different lens. Those formative years in the Amazon left an imprint that continues to surface in every painting she creates today — in the textures, the colors, the energy, and the profound sense of connection to something larger than herself.
Although creativity was always part of her life, Larissa's journey as a professional artist began after an accident that resulted in a concussion and traumatic brain injury. During her recovery, she experienced difficulties with her hands and other challenges that changed her relationship with everyday life. Painting became an essential part of the healing process — what began as a way to support her recovery gradually became something much deeper. Art gave her a language for experiences she could not easily express, and a way of rebuilding, reconnecting, and transforming a profoundly difficult period into creation.
For Larissa, painting is not simply something she chooses to do — it is a need. Art is part of how she lives and how she understands her purpose. When she paints, her energy shifts; she feels more alive, present, and connected to something greater than herself. In that creative space, she can be completely herself. Creating is where she finds freedom — the place where emotions, memories, experiences, and intuition are transformed into something tangible. That connection is what continually brings her back to the canvas.
